Lego Mindstorms is hosting an ALL GIRLS Introduction to Robotics Summer Camp in June.  They are in need of volunteers and sponsors for some of the girls who cannot afford the $150 fee.  Contact Marilyn Barger at 813.259.6578 or mbarger@hccfl.edu to find out how you can get involved.

SWE Tampa Bay Section is a recipient of an ExxonMobil SWE Program Development Grant for 2012.  We will be hosting an event on April 21st for several local Girl Scout Troops.  During the event the girls will interact with engineers and learn about Aerospace Engineering to earn their badge.  We are looking for volunteers to help on the day of the event from 8am to 2pm.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Alexis Jensen at 727-302-3285 or sixela31@gmail.com.

The Pinellas County Regional Science Fair committee is looking for volunteers to participate as judges in this event. The fair will be held at Seminole Middle School on Saturday-Feb 4th, 2012.

Hundreds of SWE members will pass through the Expo on Friday, October 15^th from 1pm -4pm at the Annual Conference. As an exhibitor you can introduce new programs, give demonstrations, recruit volunteers, promote your organization, and share resources. There is no cost to exhibit.  Space will be provided on a first come first serve basis.  Space is limited.

Invent it. Build it is a hands-on engineering experience for 400 middle school Girl Scouts and 150 parents and educators.  The event is taking place on Saturday, October 16^th from 10am-3:30pm at WE11 in Chicago.  Please help us make an impact on the lives of these girls and adults by becoming an Invent It.
