Welcome SWE Members and Friends:
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a nonprofit, educational organization founded in 1950, with over 15,000 professional and student members. The Tampa Bay Area Section was chartered in 2001 and is growing in numbers as is the Tampa Bay Area itself.
This website is full of information on SWE, as a national organization, and on our own Section and its activities. Our career guidance activities have been recognized nationally. Our membership includes the National 2001 SWE Distinguished New Engineer of the Year and National 2002 SWE Entrepreneur of the Year recipients.
Our strategic planning strives to balance personal development, networking, and volunteer opportunities for our members. Monthly meetings are held in different areas of the Tampa Bay Area to provide access to all members.
You will find many benefits from your membership. As with many things, the amount you receive is based on the amount you invest. As a service organization of men and women engineers, your level of participation is completely up to you!
We hope to see you at our next event!
